No offense to some of you, but the premise here is absolutely silly. First and foremost, despite the badmouthing we read here and there, the U.S. military is second to none in the entire world. In fact, we enjoy great superiority despite the problems within our military.
Secondly, the problems with our military in recent conflicts through the past decades have been political vs. military. The military has never let us down. The elected leaders and nation have let them down. That is my .02 on that subject and it irritates me so many fail to see this.
We have really not fought a war for our “national survival”. They have been more of an armed peace corps type effort with ridiculous rules of engagement. We have not seen total war since WWII. I expect if the gloves were off it would be a major can of whoop-ass on somebody and yes, that would include China.
As others have correctly pointed out, China has little sealift capability nor the logistics capability and air/naval superiority to protect such a long logistics train. I realize the hypothetical was a premise for a discussion about immigration, but I sometimes see comments here that seem fearful of conquest from the outside. The real threat to America is the conquest from within and we are losing that battle, but there is still hope.
With that said - if people come here for the benefits they have no place in our nation.
Of course they would leave. Just like all parasites do when they kill the host.
It only stands to reason that they would run like cowards! After all the Illegal Alien COWARDS RAN AWAY FROM THEIR OWN COUNTRY! Funny how they still have such a strong allegiance with the corrupt, morally bankrupt country they fled.
We have a war alrady—against illegal alien invaders and Islamic terrorists. What more do they want?

Back in '99, the Cox report said they already had thousands of undercover military operatives here in the US. We'll simply wake up one morning to find they've seized the airport, and the airborne troops are on their way.

If you expect nothing from people you will get nothing from them. At least when you take in legal immigrants and you vet them thoroughly (though I don’t think that the Democrat controlled immigration service really does its job) you will get the better quality of people, not the mouchers that we have been getting. Many immigrants fought in World War II and fought along side of native born Americans. Would illegal aliens do the same?
I have an idea, let’s start a rumor that there will be draft. The illegals will start heading for the border and the airports. :^D
Maybe we can pay China to stage a fake low-level invasion? Maybe with both sides armed with paintball guns?
Disagree wrt legal immigrants. I know several. They are FAR more pro-America than most native born Americans. By a ton!
It used to be that you had to wait several years at least before you could apply for immigration for a sibling. Now it seems that their whole extended families are here within a very short time. I think there is discrimination going on and it is the Democrats who are trying to keep out Europeans while bringing in everybody else.

I have heard that they have their hands open at the food banks in addition to the other benefits that they get. I wish there was a way to help people who are truly in need and are Americans without helping illegals. I get letters from a food distribution charity and I have given in the past but now I wonder if their sense of Christian charity is not being exploited by the illegals. I wonder if private charities ask people for some kind of identity.
Could there be some way to help people that you know or friends of friends without getting it out to the general public where all the usual suspects will show up with their hands out.
Actually a lot of immigrants would stay and fight, including my relatives.

Never mentioned legal immigrants. The topic is the loyalty (or lack thereof) of ILLEGAL immigrants.
