I think people are missing the point. Maybe the judge’s parents were illegal aliens. Maybe he belongs to La Raza. However, Trump did not say this. He said he was biased just because he was a Mexican-American and was proud of his heritage. Maybe Trump is not a racist, but his statement was.

If he parents were not lawfully in the U.S. at the time he was born, he would not be a citizen. See U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark.

This is the huge problem lurking in illegal immigration, that children born here are claiming they are U.S. citizens when they are not.

What I heard on Sunday Morning Talk show was Trump claimed he was being treated unfairly because the plaintiff chose to not pursue the case and yet the judge has let it go forward.

Trump seems to NEVER lose.

I think this is going to turn out a little differently than the talking heads think. They have buried Trump many times in the last year, but his poll numbers just keep increasing.

No, I do not think your point is being missed. It is more that Trump supporters are sick and tired of the political correctness that dictates precisely how a point must be made so as to not trigger the fake grievance reaction that the Left and various minorities use to control the political debate. So yeah, Trump spoke in shorthand and did not connect all the dots but so what, why should he have to?

I keep thinking that if Trump University dealt with students through contracts, then consider this. A previous generation of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified that Congress’s Commerce Clause power (1.8.3) does not extend to regulating contracts

The feds won't go that route. If they decide to nail a college it will be through withholding of Title IV funds, which are the lifeblood of any college.

"If they decide to nail a college it will be through withholding of Title IV funds, which are the lifeblood of any college."

Hi Gideon7. Note that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to tax and spend INTRAstate schooling purposes.

In fact a previous generation of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified that Congress cannot appropriate taxes for anything that it cannot justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers, INTRAstate schooling in this example.

“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

So Title IV funds are arguably state revenues that the corrupt feds stole from the states by means of unconstitutional federal taxes.

The states don’t need an unconstitutional middleman to tell them how to run their schools.

Remember in November !

Patriots need to support Trump by electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its Section 8-limited powers to not only support Trump’s vision for making America great again, but also put a stop to unconstitutional federal taxes.

Note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.

What did Trump say that is racist?

Some people are biased by their background, not everyone of the same background is biased. It was not said that all Mexican-American judges would be biased, just that Trump believes this one to be biased because of the way he identifies with his heritage. That is not racist, it is an opinion that one judge is biased because of his background.

“He said he was biased just because he was a Mexican-American and was proud of his heritage. Maybe Trump is not a racist, but his statement was.”
BS! The judge belongs to a La Raza associated organization that specifically stated it was wanting to attack Trump. “The Hispanic National Bar Association published a press release on July 2nd 2015 which specifically stated their intention to target the “business interests” of Donald Trump:”
Change of venue, recusal.

And yet, the DNC toadies in the state controlled “media” keep trying to paint him as a hick that fell off the back of an Indiana cabbage truck. Lying bastards.

So how did this judge get through college and law school? How did his parents support him? It was unsullied in those days for Mexicans to immigrate to Indiana.
