That was the first thing I thought of, too.
That’s awesome.
I did know as recently as the ‘30s we still had some sense with scum.
But, do you think part of it was “attacking The President” being taken very seriously, or was it the fact he actually battered someone (who did not die until later)? Which was more important - he attacked a VIP, or he wounded someone not as VIP?
They should have given the father 5 minutes of private time with the monster and saved the state millions of tax dollars.
That poor man. I cannot imagine his anguish. Prayers for him.
God forgive me for not finding it in my heart to pray for the murderer. Seeing the photo of his laughing face makes me want to kick him in the teeth.

Almost any father would have acted similarly if the man that murdered your daughter laughed about it to your face. I don’t blame the poor guy.
