I think paying in pennies is a legitimate form of protest. Some businesses even say they will not accept pennies for which I would then have dumped them all on the floor and told them “U.S. currency is still valid. Take it or leave it”.
Yep. Pennies are still valid currency.
I have thought about this before... however if a judge gets wind of it, he will call the person into the court room and under contempt make them count out the change penny by penny. Which is a legit thing to have the judge do. That is why I did not do it.
