The lady needs to shut up...
Accidents happen when people are not paying attention and she was not paying attention...
the kid said he wanted to go into the water the mom said no...anybody who has had a three year old when he makes a statement like that is his reaction going to be ...mommy says no...so i won’t...or will his little sense of rebellion kick in and say..oh yeah I think i will...
while i understand the zoo did what it had too... I also hope the woman takes responsibibility for her kid which obviously she is not doing...
Yes, kids falling into pools and lakes and drowning are also “accidents”.
Throughout history kids have paid with their lives for being unfortunate enough to have stupid and/or negligent parents.
I had not come across anything that described how the child fell into the gorilla pit, or film of the child’s fall if film existed.
How was it even possible?
As for the gorilla, there was no sign of protection of the child. The beast was suspicious and curious, not protective, and jerking the child under water to drag him several feet, TWICE, is one example of danger, not protection.
The gorilla could not figure out the clothes on the child, he was not “straightening” the damn things out for the boy, as I heard on TV coverage. Then off he drug the boy again, under water, and around the bend of the cliff.
You can not “wait and see” if the gorilla comes to like your child. Calling aggression “protection” is absurd.
A woman I saw being interviewed said the kid said several times he wanted to go into the water and the mother said No! several times. That right there should have given the mother the clue she better keep a close eye on him, because it sounds like he was determined.
It was too clever by half, attempted infanticide by the mother. By “volunteering” a gorilla to off the boy. But the gorilla didn’t do the deed.
The gorilla took the heat, instead. He was framed. The gorilla didn’t drag the kid around to hurt him; he was frantically looking for someplace to hide the kid from the howling mob of idiots.
Mom is protesting a bit too much. How many children have we seen intionally murdered by one of their parents in the last few decades; predominantly by their mother? Just asking.
+1 to you Sir.
