The barriers at the exhibit exceeded the protocols

What I'm suggesting is that perhaps the protocols aren't enough to protect the animals from stupid people. I'm basing it partly on observation at the zoo near here. I've also suggested that with an open exhibit such as this one with gorillas, it seems a zoo attendant should be present when the exhibit is being viewed by the public.

Well, you’re suggesting now for the first time. As fast as this thing happened, a single attendant couldn’t have stopped it either.

Face it, determined children cannot be protected 100% from all of their misadventures.

My first reaction, after the blame the mother reports first came in, was that the parents should be sued. Now that I’ve heard the facts, I retract that statement.
