Investigators found a military-style backpack Monday at the Conoco gas station that caught fire after being hit by a halo of gunfire Sunday. The backpack contained bullets, a birth certificate and several other items. Police are working to confirm who the bag belongs to and how it got there.

I saw this story on KHOU this morning. I kept waiting for details about the shooter, but there were none. Half the time, local news never says diddly about the perps in a crime story, making the reports useless. I mainly watch for traffic and weather.

I doubt it was a white gun nut or a "white hispanic" like Zimmerman or we would have heard immediately. I am guessing ROP.

We don’t know who it is, at this point, so we’re all guessing. But the police OBVIOUSLY know more - the question is why are they keeping it from us? Maybe it helps their investigation, or maybe it would give ammunition to Trump.

Either way, they do OWE US ANSWERS - playing politics with a shooting like this is criminal.

The man was obviously trained with a weapon. He hit the helicopter not once, but five times AND he hit a policeman in the chest SEVERAL times, but his ballistic plate and vest saved him. Trained.
