I just finished your vanity post.
Just finished last in the series, thus far, of “Spinward Fringe” by Randolph Lalonde.
SciFi. I haven’t read any in a long time, and noticed the first book (free) in the iBooks bookstore.
I’ve enjoyed it. He’s more or less self published, so there’s some minor errors that a good professional book editor would have caught, but as the series has progressed, and he’s hired some helpers, it’s gotten much better.
I’ve enjoyed the series and the storyline is good. Looking forward to the next book.

Got a few John Sandford ‘Prey’ waiting in the wings.
Michael Connelly as soon as they hit the streets.

The best D-Day book there is. Covers everyone, every square inch of the beach and beyond.
Excellent; highly recommended.
Just finished “Downfall: The End of the Imperial Japanese Empire,” Richard Frank
Detailed story of U.S. plans to invade, Japanese internal negotiations re: Surrender, etc.
Another highly recommended book.
I just finished Black Cat 2-1
It’s an autobiography of a Vietnam helicopter pilot. Excellent book.
If you like Reacher, then you might like the Gabriel Allon series by Daniel Silva.
Oh, and there’s also a Hunt for Reacher series by Diane Capri. It has Lee Childs blessing.

If you haven’t read it, try to find a copy of ‘The Hatterasman’, by Ben Dixon MacNeill. And old but fascinating and very readable book about the Outer Banks, its history and people:
Robert B. Parker’s Jesse Stone series.
Rex Stout’s Nero Wolfe series.
