Speaking of which, has anyone out there noticed the shift and decline in Commentary magazine?
The latest issue is egregious, but is merely a continuation of the whithering of Conservative thought that appears to have made itself felt since Trump's emergence and subsequent ascendancy.
I used to love this magazine, but now I'm tempted to just ignore it when I see it on the newsstands.
Anyone else got an opinion on it?

I think ol’ mittens is misjudging his votes at the last election. A vast majority of people voted for him only because he wasn’t OBAMA.
The party saw to it that he got the nomination, but the majority that voted for him were voting against Obama.
It seems NRO isn’t embarrassed about its past support for loser Mittens and wants to double down on it.
Now that’s what I call a losing bet!

IMO, there are a couple things going on her with the “conservative” chattering classes.
One is they are simply mirroring the opinions of the wealthy donors who keep them afloat. The other is that they are setting themselves up to oppose the Trump admin on some issues. This is the “principled conservative” kabuki that Ted Cruz and the like specialize in. This get nothing done but stuff your pockets full of cash is little more than porch conservatism on the GOP plantation. These folks are looking out for #1 and could care less about the country.
