Nobody needs reparations. I doubt if any are still alive. Other Africans sold them into slavery, and people here purchased them and owned them.
It was indeed a scourge. And the short sightedness of those southerners has caused America no end of misery that last to this day. That’s the lesson.

You are aware, aren’t you, that the northerners levied onerous tariffs on the south? Ninety percent of the money coming into the federal government was taken from the south.
Perhaps we can agree that the northerners were short sighted as well?
