Whiney assed Japanese. The Japanese islands suffered more radiation from the Chinese and Russian detonations of atomic bombs during the 1950’s and early 1960’s. The 53rd WRS and 6091st USAF Squadrons came down with air samples that were so radioactive that men had to wear suits for protection that worked on the WB-57sEs at Yokota AFB. The Geiger counters went off the scale. There was one week around 1960 that we had to stay indoors because the radiation from the cloud was so intense. The Japanese whiners don't mention this and blame everything on the US because they are betting some liberal will cave and pay them money. I called the State Department and they ignored my call. One call to the American Legion Commander and things got done the last time the Japs tried the pity party. I wasn't bound by secrecy because I was a dependent and my Father is dead from cancer but I was there on the runway multitude of times.
