My boss got a red and white 64 convertible for our ‘errand’ car. It was only a six but lots of fun.

$2000 for a new 1970 VW sedan. The high-pitched, whistling noise from the muffler as it wound up the gears was no extra charge, but I had to buy a nylon mesh ‘scrunchee’ to clean ice from the inside windshield.
Only repair was to replace the sodium chloride battery 9 years later when I sold it for $1500.

And my bulldog likes a little shredded sharp cheddar on his Alpo.
