I’ve seen a pissed off elephant. I cannot image a pissed off mastodon with a spears stuck in it. Run away!
Elephants are intelligent amazing powerful creatures; if they came trunk to trunk with their forebears the Mastodons, the elephants would bail out of pure common sense.
