This is interesting, Dungeon Master and Fantasywriter. :-)
This suggestion is a whole different topic, election vs freewill. Do you think that if Christians have giant prayer meetings people that will force more people to get saved? Personally I believe in election but that's a whole different, huge and often contentious topic.
If I sinned, and people gathered together to burn anything of mine they could get their hands on, Id feel alienated and, to be honest, hated.
I believe people burned their own things now hers and the things she produces, being music, where not innocent. I've listened to a lot of music and there are always messages.
If you don’t believe in free will then we’re at the end of our discussion. I pray you will be richly blessed, now and always.
[Nothing personal, but there is simply no common ground between God’s revealed Word and the nonexistence of free will. I have had already far too many discussions with those who deny free will. It is the kind of misunderstanding, imho, that only the Holy Spirit can rectify.]
In parting, here’s a Scriptural passage that has provided food for thought and great encouragement for many, from James 5:
The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. 18 Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.
19 My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one turns him back, 20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.
