Now how a retired reporter who can't remember where or how she lost a tape can be positive that could be only 2 copies of the tape apparently requires a level of media hubris that normal people don't have.
IF Trump was the one who actually “leaked” the tape, it’s hilarious, but either way, it makes the media in general, and the WaPo in particular, look ridiculous. No one cares about a 25 year old tape between a reporter and a private citizen. Did the WaPo work anywhere near as hard to vet 0bama? or Biden? or Hillary Clinton? Their chortling over this tape just makes them look like the fools they are.

well, it was genius then to set his publicity straight on his women, and its perfect now because if what you did 25 years ago is ok to bring up on tape, etc. then Hillary and Bill are cooked!!!! She says, if you want to back to the 90’s.... So lets hope she takes the bait

I love listening to this John Miller guy.
1) The guy on the tape doesn’t sound like Trump. The recording is so distorted that I question the ability to recognize anyone’s voice on it.
2) Why is this even news? The content of the tape is so banal, it contains nothing newsworthy. So the news has to be ginned up about the tape itself. Yawn.
I am reminded about the time when Democrat operatives managed to tap into Newt Gingrich’s cell phone (purely by chance, they claimed) and caught him talking about how to comply with the law. The media tried to make that into a big scandal, too. Well, the scandal was that Democrat operatives were listening in on Republican’s phone calls, but the media wasn’t actually interested in pursuing *that* aspect of the situation.
Move along, folks, nothing to see here.

It hits Megyn like a ton of bricks when the reporter says it had to be Trump himself who released the tape. She had never even considered that as a possibility.
Once she has, Kelly and Kurtz can’t understand why he would do such a thing. Yet, in discussing the idiocy of releasing it, they hit on the very reason he did it....publicity! They have stumbled upon the answer to their own question, but they don’t believe it.
“I don’t understand”, “It makes no sense”, “he’s turning a one day story into days of news coverage, how dumb”. (not actual quotes).
Donald PUNKED the press 25 years ago and is doing it all over again now, grabbing the headlines and dominating the media coverage. Just brilliant press manipulation. Even if they thought they were being punked, they still just couldn’t help themselves. They are so self absorbed that they just can’t see it.
