Pop star Phil Collins is behind the disappearance of Dana Tyler, the beloved WCBS/Ch. 2 anchor who has been off the air since February nursing a broken heart after the “Invisible Touch” singer — her longtime, live-in boyfriend — dumped the local news goddess to reconcile with his ex-wife, Orianne Cevey.
“Dana’s been trying to put her life back together,” a source close to Tyler (photo with Collins) told Confidenti@l. “She and Phil were a couple for around 10 years — and then he pulled the rug out from under her.”

She wishes she could make him turn around, turn around and see her cry. There’s so much she needs to say to him, so many reasons why. He’s the only one who really knew her at all.
Take a look at her now. There’s just an empty space, and there’s nothing left to remind her, just the memory of his face.
Nah, he’s just a British upper class, public school (like private academies for us) type. They’re often a bit “dandy”, but that’s an affectation that the fags stole from them, a couple centuries ago.
A Trick of the Tail is a masterpiece from start to finish.
Well, the way I look at it is, if you cut an act like Genesis down to three guys, one of them having to do double duty as a drummer and front man, and another having to do double duty as guitarist and freaking BASS player, you should just consider it an entirely different band and judge the output separately.
The later Genesis, if you listen to it without expecting the same thing as the early stuff, is not bad music. It’s just going to be a real disappointment if you were expecting the Gabriel-era sound.

And Gabriel’s solo work sounds nothing like his Genesis work, times change.
There must be some misunderstanding.
With the stipulation that they create a space to display it, and the idiots have been scrambling to agree how to make that happen. I think they finally sorted it out, but the deadline was approaching.
Phil also is into model trains and has a pretty killer layout that he has generously shared with hobby magazines.
And, I like his music. Shrug.
All in all, Genesis has had a rather stable cast... It was a stroke of genius to bring Phil to the front when Peter Gabriel left the band. Phil’s voice was a perfect match for harmonizing with Peter, and still works quite well for lead vocals.
Since moving out front, other than a short stint with Bill Bruford on the drums, Chester Thompson’s been playing with Genesis.
Mike Rutherford always played “second” guitar (and Tony would occassionally pick up a guitar too) while Steve was in the Band. After Steve left, they brought in Darryl S. for guitar and bass when Mike wanted to play guitar, but over the years, Mike has moved more and more to guitar.
Genesis is simply a band that has evolved over the years. If you really miss early Genesis, check out Steve Hackett’s “Genesis Revisited.” And if you miss early solo Peter, check out “The Security Project.”

My guess is that the silly weather lady fell for Collins’ money. Adultery leads to broken relationship and broken careers.
I prefer the never-boring 1972 Genesis where they tailored music around old stories.
