There was no compelling plot reason for that (the only even remotely possible excuse).

Sure there is!

If Strand wasn't a poof, such an appearance conscious, manipulative, self-absorbed, bitch wouldn't be nearly as believable.

Everyone other than Nick should to be bitten and drowned.

I agree that Nick has been the best character since episode 1. I think he is going to turn out awesome.

Because nearly EVERYTHING coming out of Hollyweird today MUST feature a couple of queers getting it on! It’s called “conditioning the culture” to the new normal (or is that ABNORMAL?) Whatever! Seems we’re doomed either way!!

They just lost this raging intolerant heterosexual as a viewer. And I’m almost afraid to tune in to the next season of “Walking Dead” for fear I’ll see Rick and Nagan getting it on as well!

Well, they’ve managed to introduce the homosexual angle...WHY?!

The obligatory lesbian kiss has been on most TV series during the last few years.

Now, they are expanding to include an obligatory gay male kiss.

Most times, it doesn't even fit the script, so we know it was inserted for PC agenda.

I think there was no other way to go with that character, as written.

Now that you mention it, I’ve always suspected Rick with his histrionics to be one... ;-)

And yeah, so much for Fear the Walking AIDS...

I looked on IMDB and saw that he got some ‘GLAAD’ award (those are the sodomites)...guess he’s a real-life one too...

I must be one of the unenlightened ones. Didn't see that coming at all. Anything less than pink lipstick and a tutu (or sheriff Rick's histrionics, see above) goes right past me.

I’m just about to stop watching the show. I a so sick of moody teenagers who wander off alone. It seems like a dumb horror movie where everybody wanders around alone in dark rooms, usually backwards without looking.

I haven’t seen this episode yet, but I’ll give it one more chance.

Haven’t you ever seen him out of character?

The only thing missing is the kimono and tiara!

Never heard of him; wouldn’t know anything if it weren’t for IMDB. In all honesty, I mostly can’t even be bothered to keep track of the characters’ names in ‘whatever’ series. To me it’s just ‘the druggie’, ‘the black guy’, ‘the cute chick’, etc...you get the idea...

I’m good with numbers, lousy with names. Must be down to the time I slipped and fell over backwards on my head ice skating when I was 8. ;-)

I knew it from the way he looked at that guy in the bar. No straight guys would look at each other like that. When the kiss happened, it sure freed up my Sundays. The show isn’t very good anyway, so that was all I needed to bail.

Because they make up 1.8% of our population.?? Feel like we’re being beat over the head with this stuff.. Well, because, ah, we are!

Used to be that two guys could meet by happenstance and strike up a friendship (don't know about 'that look' you mention though). Met some of my best friends that way. Never considered that that would automatically bring sodomy to the mind (no reflection on you!). Guess I'm out of touch with the new world. Thankfully.

People with their heads in the tube may easily become bored. The colors and nuances of life are often lost when one’s head and heart is steeped in emotionalism with phony views of reality. Real life is far more interesting than anything the tube has to offer when it is actually lived.

Amazing. And there I thought I was making light of matters. I hope in your case, too, all other faculties are in good order. Enhanced even. A healthy fondness for malted beverages, perhaps?
