Reminds me of what another “crowd” said around 2000 years ago: “Give us Barabbas!”
Corrections....
They “married” in defiance of GOD.
He considered GOD’S WORD on homosexuality unjust and immoral.
People need to say it like it is.
The response to ALL FALSE PROPHETS is, But what does the Lord say
No one is saying that this guy is a "prophet", just a minister. And, no, they are not the same.
But, your question is valid. What does the Lord say?
28 year commitment?
That meant committing sin and hiding it from his superiors.
Yep, FUBAR.
Its like shoving two male plugs together and saying “we now hve power”.
Or superiors who, at best, looked the other way. That, or approved.
Wait up.
I thought the UM church LOVED homos, has for years. I have reviled them for decades for being lib about homos, per AFA founder who had been a minister.
Disallowing ministers being homo I thought could be possible, but I was sure they already caved to homos in general.
That would be the Baptists.
No such thing as male, male marriage. It’s a farce.
Exactly! Praying the General Conference fires all of the offending elders, bishops, etc. and let them start their own gatherings as it isn’t a church of the triune God.
PUKE!
And after the ceremony, they had great difficulty in deciding whether to use the Men’s Room, or the Ladies Room, when nature called.
It will never be and can never be a marriage. A marriage is a covenant between God and a man and woman, not 2 men. The state can call it whatever it wants but its not marriage.
State laws have nothing to do with doctrine.
The Methodist Church has rules????
I wouldn't remember, I have been a recovering Metodist for 35 Years.
Gave up on the Methodist Church twenty years ago - good move then, better move now.....
“otherwise solid Christian people who believe in homosexuality,”
They may not be Christians at all but just happen to claim the name.
Might as well have used the altar, given what they’ve done.
Pastor Robert Jefferess of the First Baptist Churh in Dallas has a perfect term for these things. He calls them conterfeit marriages. I agree with him 100%.
