LIFE JACKETS IMAGE SOURCE That shot of Fuddy was taken from some twenty feet away. This shot above of actual life jackets from this event, taken from perhaps an average of 7' away has two infant life jackets in the middle surrounded by five adult life jackets. Very few people would have been able to recognize those ones in the middle were infant life jackets, because they don't look all that different in size, do they? But the key is, when they're inflated, they take on a distinctive shape. And that is truly hard to miss, try as you might, 4Zoltan! If Fuddy was wearing a fully inflated adult jacket in that top image, then I imagine the jacket that was cut from her is either mislabelled or missing. There were NINE. The pilot apparently didn't have one? That leaves EIGHT. There are three jackets without any names. The image shows a total of SEVEN. There must be one jacket missing. It's elementary my dear Watson, the missing jacket has to be an adult jacket that was cut from the wearer.
Where is it?
You don't even realize what you sound like, do you? As long as we assume that everything the USCG and NTSB said is wrong, we can assume that the story they tell is true... (shaking head) Marilyn Briley's "lifejacket" is missing from that collection. It had a phallus shape attached to it (transmitter of some kind?) and looked like this:
which is obviously not a half-inflated infant lifejacket that was mistakenly labeled as being Fuddy's. So they are all accounted for. Five adult lifejackets (Yamamoto Puentes, Bruce Briley, Rosa, and Jake) two infant lifejackets (Hollstein and supposedly Fuddy), Kawasaki had no lifejacket, and Marilyn's lifejacket is not normal and is missing from the line-up. That's nine. All PIW's lifejackets accounted for.
