Why? Why switch life vests? How does it move the conspiracy forward?

They didn’t switch any life vests. According to the stories there wouldn’t even have been a chance for anybody to switch life vests. They had a mannequin in a partially-inflated infant life jacket that was retrieved by the USCG as if it was Fuddy.

That mannequin is filmed in the cabin in the same seat with Jake and had a blue cap like his, except that it was the wrong shape and there wasn’t Jake’s hair (including ponytail) sticking out of the bottom of the mannequin’s hat - but was reddish hair held inside the hat (red hair that later shows up right next to Jake as he first got into the water). That mannequin was sitting straight-up on the outside-most side of the seat while Jake sat straight up on the interior-most side of the seat. That mannequin’s lifelike pudgy hand is seen in the cabin footage dangling down from a high position at an angle where it could not have belonged to any of the 3 people within that tiny space (Jake, Rosa, and Puentes). At that point Jake is making a beeline for the exit, apparently carrying the mannequin (with dangling hand) over the top of Puentes’ camera which at that point was studiously recording everybody’s feet.

What happened to the real Fuddy, in the fully-inflated adult life jacket she was recorded wearing next to Yamamoto? She obviously wasn’t retrieved by the USCG and thus examined by coroner Lindsey Harle. Where did she go? I have some suspicions, but it seems like the NTSB or FBI should be answering that question, no? The NTSB had the video; they saw that Fuddy’s jacket was fully inflated so had to have 2 punctured CO2 cartridges. They saw that what was retrieved from the ocean (claimed as being Fuddy) still had a CO2 cartridge intact. They therefore knew that what was retrieved was not Fuddy. Why did they fail to find out what really happened? Why did they go along with the big lie?

Whose responsibility would it rightly be to answer your question of, "Why (switch life vests)?" It certainly wouldn't be butterdezillion's responsibility to answer, and who knows to properly speak for the darker intentions of others' hearts? You're simply looking for something to attack because you've run out of targets!

And what's with your further insult of, "How does it move the conspiracy forward?" The conspiracy existed well before that day. Once there is a conspiracy, details of how a conspiracy's plans might be played out have no bearing on anything like "mov[ing a] conspiracy forward!" Whether a conspirators' plan was effective or ineffective, it would have still been the product of that conspiracy.

Your question means nothing outside of your demeaning insinuation that a detective's work would somehow advance support for a conspiracy when there was none. Nonsense! A conspiracy exists in this case, and all the plane's occupants were apprised thereof beforehand. The frequency and uniformity of their highly improbable lies belie the conspiracy.

I know of no conservative that would formulate such a question. When a conspiracy has been shown, a conservative would always work against the conspiracy, unless the conservative were successfully bribed.

It's probably not the case that anyone switched life vests on Fuddy. If Fuddy was not the decedent hoisted into helicopter, which I confidently maintain, there would have been no need to do any switching to get the real Ms Fuddy into an infant life-jacket.

Because Fuddy started out with a fully inflated (double-punctured-cartridge) adult life vest, no matter what happened thereafter, for there to be an infant life-jacketed, dead body hoisted toward the end of the scenario should tell everyone watching and thinking that either 1) something or somebody at the scene killed Fuddy related to the swap of life-jackets, or 2) something or somebody took her place as she exited the scenario alive.

In other words, if she died, any thorough investigation should have started with investigating how her life jacket was swapped at sometime during the scenario. But there was no investigation regarding her death whatsoever.

Since the ME said Ms Fuddy's fear and stress gave rise to hyperventilation and an arrhythmia, any responsible investigator should have tracked that down, but by the records, no one did. The NTSB is not responsible for determining a cause of death. That would be a county, state or FBI responsibility.

There was zero reason Fuddy would have had to be fearful and stressed when she was able to stand at many times and places to rest and relax. The HDOH Deputy Director that stood next to her for extended lengths of time belied how easy it was to stand. For example:

Would she have given up her life jacket willingly? If she did and her lifeless body was hoisted into a helicopter an hour later, it obviously would have been a bad choice.

But her body mass in this salt water was of a type that frankly needed no life jacket. The life jacket in the following picture is doing little more than supporting her neck:

But Fuddy there in the middle is able to kick up even her knees and feet well out of the water despite their being over four foot away from her life vest.

Wait, now what's that peeking up between Fuddy and her hand-holder? No matter, it's gone again in mere seconds, with the DD bending his knees again:

On the other hand, we (my lawyers, a retired NTSB IIC, current, very experienced FAA Inspector buddies, former military officers, a large FBO owner and other jet jocks and I, who all the info I've collected) know this event to have been a planned hoax. There would have to be a reason some group would want to pull it off. The obvious reason--beyond "Who wouldn't want yourself and and your extended family to be able to live in the lap of luxury for the rest of your days without having to do a stitch of work!"--is that Fuddy was a potential witness to a trial during which she might have given up very damning information that would work against the interests of "other people."

Inasmuch as Fuddy has here been conclusively shown to have been replaced in the middle of the aftermath scenario, we may rest assured she didn't crawl back into the scenario to die, be hoisted into a helicopter and be misidentified by her sister. Once Ms Fuddy was extracted from the scenario, somebody or something would have had to take her place. We may also rest assured Ms Fuddy's sister did not identify a skinny, 6'+ diver as her sister. You're a thinking human being (right?). You can figure this out!

Hawaii Revised Statute 28-101 lawfully empowers the HI Attorney General to determine to engage such a hoax and to pay for it out of Hawaii funds. However, it seems doubtful it was ever the intention of the citizens of Hawaii to have the AG keep a potential witness from testifying, as it would have been the case here.
