Had the Republicans done the job they were ELECTED to do, they wouldn't have to worry about Trump.

The GOP rats are not doing what they were elected to do, but they ARE doing what they were paid to do.

Reagan won two landslides, but as soon as he left office, the GOPe spent 20 years purging Reaganism out of the party.

I have to agree.

Something a few have touched on, if Trump does 1/2 of what he says...

I hope most people realize there is no way he will be able to do all of what he promises. He will face tremendous opposition in Congress, no matter which party is dominant. He will also never be reported with any degree of fairness in the press.

He will try, I have no doubt. He will be able to get a few things done, but I don’t expect to see much get by Congress. If he gets half, I’ll be very pleased.

I haven’t run across the who should be VP thread, so I’m going to go off topic for a bit. I think Newt Gingrich is the best choice for VP. When Bill Clinton [barf] was in office, Newt had the common sense to get the right people together, tell them to put away their petty politics and hammer out a budget. That’s what we need. He may seem a bit like a part of the establishment, but he knows how to lead by example, and knows how to get people to work together and get things done. He’s also one of the ones being honest about Trump, and not part of the stop Trump crew. He hasn’t said so but I think he’s rooting for Trump when the cameras go off.

If prostitutes would stop standing around on street corners, they wouldn’t have to worry about the police.

The real problem with Cruz is that he was a fraud all along. Sincere people don’t wake up one Monday morning and start spewing lies.

The headline says it all. Trump wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the eGOP. Heck, he probably wouldn’t even had wanted to run.

It’s hard for a Republican House and a slim senate majority to get anything accomplished against a post-constitutional White House, courts, and the press.

Given the choice between an anti-establishment conservative and a progressive con man who funds the establishment and supports NATIONALIZED HEALTH CARE, you think that rebellion is supporting the charlatan openly lying to you.

Who the gods wish to destroy, they first drive mad. Enjoy your lunacy.

They’d get points for at least trying.

They’re not trying.

They, with Ryan’s help, have caused the rifts they claim they want Trump to mend - ironic that they claim they want him to undo all they have done and fostered in the attempt to become permanently entrenched....

BAM! There it is!

The caterwauling by the GOPe should instead be serious introspection on this exact subject.

Any chance the Trump campaign could set up a Congressional Clearinghouse, to list those (few) we need to keep any those (many) who need to strap on their parachutes?

As long as we’re launching a revolution here, let’s expand it. Let’s give Trump the Congress he needs to get things done.

My state is easy. Throw every last one of them out of the Massachusetts delegation. But other states, not so much.
