Of course he wanted more, but thinking back to Obama's 2008 campaign promises, union card check is about the only item not enacted.
If that's the case, all he had to do was ask -- maybe supplemented with a little bit of stomping his feet and shouting "racists!" -- and Boner/Ryan and Old McConnell would have fallen all over each other in their haste to give obama whatever he asked for.
