Abortionist Thomas Gresinger, Who Did Abortions for 43 Years, Passes Away

An East Coast abortionist and OB-GYN who delivered thousands of babies and aborted many more, died on April 22 at a family home in Maryland, according to the Washington Post.

Thomas H. Gresinger, 82, died of cancer, according to the report. He worked for the northern Virginia abortion facility Falls Church Healthcare Center up until last year, the report states. Though he received an “Unsung Hero” award from the National Abortion Federation, Gresinger and the abortion facilities where he worked have a record of endangering women’s lives.

Gresinger was named in a lawsuit in the 1990s after a woman said she was injured in a botched abortion at one of his abortion facilities. The woman alleged that she was sent home rather than to a hospital after she began passing large blood clots and exhibiting signs of shock. A hospital later removed her uterus in an emergency surgery as a result of the botched abortion, the suit alleged.

In a 2000 malpractice lawsuit, Gresinger was forced to pay $2.1 million after a jury found that he repeatedly failed to diagnose and treat a patient’s cervical cancer, which later killed her, according to the newspaper report.

In addition, state inspectors found multiple health and safety violations during inspections in 2012 and in 2015 at the Falls Church abortion center where Gresinger worked, according to state inspection reports.

The report about his death continues:

He incorporated abortions into his private Northern Virginia obstetrics/gynecological practice following the Roe v. Wade case that legalized abortions, and he also provided abortions at a newly opened Virginia abortion center.

In the 1970s and 1980s, he established abortion clinics in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Florida, Hawaii and Louisiana. He trained doctors, nurses and nurse practitioners in post-abortion care.

As he got older, Dr. Gresinger ended his affiliation with most of these centers, concentrating on his practice in Northern Virginia. In 2013, he received the “Unsung Hero” award of the National Abortion Federation for work on behalf of women choosing abortions.

He received threats from antiabortionists. At one point, U.S. marshals were assigned to protect his Fort Washington home. One of his centers was bombed. Another was severely damaged by arson.

“I don’t feel that I’m in any physical danger,” Dr. Gresinger told The Washington Post in 1985. “I just find these people annoying and extremely presumptuous, that they can ignore the views of everyone else but themselves. I do mind the ones that hang over the fence, harassing my patients with grisly pictures of very late abortions. You should see these young ladies when they come through the door, collapsing in the nurses’ arms one after another.”

The report described him as a leading Washington, D.C.-area abortion provider.

True. I hope he repented, but probably not:

That’s not the biblical view. The biblical view is that we all deserve hell. We’ve all committed cosmic treason against the thrice holy God.

Hopefully he repented and asked Christ to redeem him. Otherwise there is the Great White Throne Judgment where he will be judged by his works. And all those aborted children now with new bodies will watch him thrown in the lake of fire for his works where no doubt the minions of hell will surgically abort him over and over for eternity.

No one deserves hell, not even him

Hate to disagree, but the Lord said so: EVERYONE deserves Hell. The good Lord said, "unless ye repent, ye also will perish". Outside his grace, every single person deserves the wages of sin: spiritual death.

I suspect that wherever he is at the moment, the thermostat is set on “deep fat fry”.

That’s not the biblical view. The biblical view is that we all deserve hell. We’ve all committed cosmic treason against the thrice holy God.

You suppose that the manglers of the original autographa of the book of Genesis 3:9 had it right. That a special comma was never there... "Adam where are you"..which by God's nature and to harmonize really reads "Adam, where are you." Totally different interpretation. God neither shies away from sin or is disgusted that we have commited it. If you take the view that charlatan popes, fire and brimstone hucksters and you average biblical illiterate scholar takes then God is an angry, perpetually abusive Father, with a thirst for revenge and inflicting pain on us.

In reality it's we who pushed away from him, our own shame. No bridge need to be built with Christ, there was never a gulf. No scripture supports the view that we are across a great divide, a chasm only bridged by Christ. Christ never left us, God never separated. See Jesus agony on the cross, he was teaching us this with his "Father why have you forsaken me". Its human nature to feel abandoned, feel lonely, but sometimes that is not reality. We crave fellowship and feel out of sorts when we feel deprived of it. A loving Father never abandons his children, drops them off on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere and expects them to find their way back.

Its our nature, our own pride to think we are so good, that only the other entity had it wrong, in this case God was the one who left. A treatise on the real scriptural reason Christ came is another debate and discussion. It was not to be our cosmic public defender against a real pissed off God.

It was not a sudden death, apparently: he had time to ponder and prepare. I hope he repented his horrifying crimes before he died. Otherwise, the consequences are very, very bad.

We disagree. If God isn’t angry with sin, why was His son offerred as a propitiatory sacrifice?

“No one deserves hell, not even him.”

Huh? You really believe that no one in the history of the world has deserved to go to Hell?

His wife, Susan, was/is an Episcopalian priestess. About 1986, when a pro-life Episcopalian, ChristyAnne Collins, stood up at the appropriate moment at the “ordination” to object on the grounds that an abortionist’s wife was not of good Christian character, she was taken into the sacristy and confronted by the then-bishop of Washington. His opening words were, “You little shit! Who do you think you are?” After an extremely brief discussion, he proceeded with the ordination.

Umm, that's not *Christian* doctrine. Rather the opposite.
