Norman Rockwell's America is not an idea to which to return. It was the era of the New Deal, the Income Tax, foreign entanglements and world wars, and government meddling in the economy, including price controls.
We need to, but never will, return to the Constitution.

Norman Rockwell's America is not an idea to which to return. Wow, what a way to throw cold water on a pleasant thread. My favorite singer of all time is Jo Stafford. Under your logic I should not look for another singer such as Jo because she sang during the New Deal, etc.
By the way, b-e, you are certainly correct about the need to return to the ideals of the Constitution! But Rockwell was promoting those ideals, not undermining them. His Four Freedoms painting (post #9 here) is just one example of that.
