Perhaps it is a minor issue but I saw this quote in the article “in our quest to bring the NBA and NHL back to Seattle.”
I think the Metropolitans existed prior to the NHL being born. Otherwise, I don’t think the NHL has had a team from Seattle certainly nothing equal to the Sonics in terms of history.
