After 9/11 a military friend attended a conference about the dangers of dirty nukes. I lived near DC and was planning to invest in country property anyway. I had thought of going to the Delmarva Peninsula, but instead bought land in West Virginia. No point being east of the fallout or having the bridge blown up by terrorists.
I would have to call my mom and tell her it wasn’t me, honest!
