They touched on it a couple of seasons back when the Hound faced a trial by combat for murder. The guy that lost to the hound was mortally wounded, but then revived. He spoke of the red priests having brought him back from the dead, and having died many times.
Right, but in the books there is a storyline concerning the red priest that wasn’t in the show. I don’t want to say to much, because the show might go there.
Yes, they have twisted some of the storylines from the books. For example, Arya’s first kill scene with the hound at the campfire of the men bragging about killing Rob and Catlyn. That scene was actually almost identical to a scene in one of the books where the revived Catlyn took vengeance on some of the men who had killed her and Rob.
If I were continuing the series I would write that the little black haired baby that Cersei miscarried is John Snow and that she and Eddard Stark had a secret tryst. To keep Robert from finding out, Eddard had to take the baby away and claim it was his bastard with another woman.
Or another line I might write is that Cersei had an affair with or was raped by a Targaryen and Snow was the offspring of that and Eddard helped hide Snow’s identity to keep Robert on the throne and keep Robert from murdering the child.
I will just have to wait for George R.R. Martin’s Winds of Winter and Dreams of Spring.
It probably is a dead end. I was hoping that it wasn’t aside from the fact that much else going on.
Roose bestowed the name "Bolton" on Ramsay as a reward. So he is legitimately a Bolton now.
True, but everyone knows who he is and where he came from. He may have the position, but not the respect. There are other northern families that may drop thier allegiance that he will need to rule the north. Additionally, he needs Sansa to cement his legitimacy.
If his liege lords back him as lord Bolton, then that is what he is. Roose named him as heir. Once Sansa or Bran reappear as the Stark heir that will change. I predict a grisly (and satisfying) death for Ramsey at seasons end. I love this show but the books are so much better.
In the synopsis shown before episode 2 “that character” appeared (In the “normal” state).
I finished the last book almost 3 years ago. I don’t really remember what Ramsey did. I know the show is following a different time line. I also don’t remember Ramsey as being a major character. IIRC didn’t Roose employed mercenaries who were more viscous than Ramsey that are not in the show? I think the show rolled thier evilness into Ramsey instead of having more charactors.
You are correct...Ramsay is peripherally involved with what his father is doing in the books...his main story line is torturing Theon and marrying ‘Arya’ who is really Jeyne Poole.
That’s right. Sansa was still at the Vail with little finger posing as his niece. The show also doesn’t explore the fact that Jon Snow is also a Wog like Brandon.
