Car insurance is another item we must buy. I am certain there are others but none come to mind.
I heard that if she loses this lawsuit she has another one all ready. Headline: “Starbucks Iced Drink doesn’t have enough ice in it!”
Deme sooner lumber. Consider it a dressed 2x4. All the demensions are nominal. And 2x4s are not the only dimensioned lumber. Been that way for decades and decades and decades.
When I was a kid in the 50s, they were 1-5/8 X 3-5/8. Those still cause problems remodeling older houses.
They are 2”x4” before being kiln dried and dressed. They have been 1.5”x3.5” for at least 6 decades as modern mills went to KD dressed lumber.
Ice is required in ice coffees.
Not enough and its just piss warm coffee. And they would get sued for that.
Crap, just order something else.
We used to have a consumer affairs person in NY who would clue everyone in on the deceptive words. “Creme” means there’s no actual cream. “Chocolaty” and “buttery” mean no chocolate, no butter. A hamburger had to be 100% beef by law. I just heard a barista say “chocolaty chip cookie” the other day, so the rules must still be in effect. And of course we all know about Nilla wafers and Froot Loops.
Don’t get me started about hot dogs vs hot dog buns’ packaging....

You know that.
I know that.
Some slimeball lawyer convinced a jury full of morons that Lowe’s was shorting their lumber customers.
Then they would have no standing to sue.
The Chai Tea Latte is mostly water, too ... I order mine with “ NO water, make with skim milk “ comes just how I like it, no additional cost, just gotta ask ...
“package sold by weight, not volume”
That gets them off the hook.

Yep. But the consumer now has to buy two to get the same number of servings we used to get with one. Cake mixes drive me crazy - old recipes which I have used for years are based on a certain volume which used to be standard. Seems like nothing is the same anymore.
I’ve never understood taking normal strength coffee and adding ice to it. Great, now I have weak coffee.
The Vietnamese, on the other hand, know how to make ice coffee.
Double or triple strength espresso (in effect), poured over ice - and if you like it sweet, some sweetened condensed milk.
As other posters have noted, this is the standard size of a raw 2 x 4 after the milling and planing process. I’m not exactly “handy” in the lumber department, but I have known this for years.

Dunkin Donuts is worse.
