I think Rand Paul will be the choice. The dustups that he got into with Trump were minor. He’s got much of the ‘street cred’ that Cruz started out with minus a lot of the baggage. The problem with him crawling into bed with McConnell will make him just ‘establishment’ enough to make the establishment more comfortable with the ticket, while bringing a constitutionalist on board for everyone else.
The only problem is he’s also running for reelection in Kentucky and I’m not sure how competitive that race is going to be for him.
Trump made fun of Paul’s looks. I don’t think Trump would think Paul could add anything to the ticket.
