I worked for a guy like that once, long ago. He had ME fire a young clerical-level single mother - who was doing her job just fine - because of ‘cutbacks.’ As I was giving her her walking papers he got into the limo that took him to his private plane that flew him to his hacienda in Cabo San Lucas. Soon thereafter I quit.

In his defense, I won’t defend a lot of Beck post-Fox years, he invested a ton of money in this network, and he also has a tremendously large earnings from his radio contract. Radio and probably his Fox contract primarily funded the existence of The Blaze. If he chooses to buy expensive toys with his own money, that’s good with me. It’s his money and the business’s lack of revenue success does not require he dump more of his own money into it.

I didn’t even realize MB had resurrected the Maybach label after killing it off a few years ago when they ran out of drug dealers and rappers to sell it to.
