Trump to celebrities threatening to immigrate to Canada: "That would be a great thing"

WASHINGTON -- Donald Trump has a message for some of the celebrities musing about leaving for Canada if he's elected president: Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

The billionaire candidate expressed delight Tuesday when asked about the phenomenon of famous Americans talking about becoming political exiles if he's elected.

He said he'd be glad to make it a reality.

"Well, now I have to get elected," Trump told the morning show Fox and Friends.

"I'll be doing a great service to our country. I have to (win). Now, it's much more important. In fact, I'll immediately get off this call and start campaigning right now."

He was appearing on the Fox show on the morning of five northeastern primaries, which he's expected to dominate, although they won't clinch the Republican nomination for him.

Trump was asked specifically about actress Lena Dunham. The star of the show, "Girls," said she is serious about leaving. She said she knows a lovely place in Vancouver and could work from there.

The candidate's reply: "Well, she's a B-actor. And you know, has no mojo. You know, I heard Whoopi Goldberg said that too. That would be a great, great thing for our country."

The show put up pictures of other famous Americans who promised to leave if their country elects the Mexican-wall-building, import-tax-threatening, Muslim-travel-banning celebrity.

They included actress Rosie O'Donnell and comedians Goldberg and Jon Stewart. Trump has had a long-running feud with some of them.

Stewart had actually joked about going far beyond the land next door: "I would consider getting in a rocket and going to another planet," he said earlier this year. "Because clearly, this planet's gone bonkers."

Americans would have several options, should they seek to immigrate: Study in Canada, marry a Canadian, invest in a business, or apply through the regular points program.

Otherwise, Canada only allows them to spend six months as tourists.

Trump's platform doesn't specifically mention Canada often -- certainly nowhere nearly as much as Mexico. However, he has repeatedly mused about ripping up the NAFTA trade deal.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been asked during recent trips to the United States about talk of a Trump-triggered exodus.

He has downplayed it, noting that threats to leave the U.S. emerge in every election -- yet the Canada-U.S. population gap remains intact.

He's correct that the phenomenon goes way back.

The day after George W. Bush's re-election in 2004, Canada's immigration website smashed its then-record for single-day visits.

“I’ll be doing a great service to our country.”

You can say that again!

Racist celebrities never promise to move to Venezuela, China, or Mexico when President Trump is voted into office.

Sure as heck won’t be doing MY country a great service. Like we don’t have enough depraved liberals up here now.

I don’t think Canada would welcome them with open arms. Maybe they should consider someplace else. Cuba perhaps?

I suggest they join their pals....Cuba, Mexico, or Saudi Arabia. They can go and sell their homosexual and various other sexual dyfunctions over there. But not for long.

Lena Dunham is probably a greater recruitment tool than Mr. Trump....if I were to buy into the nonsense that those people need recruitment tools.

Let them move to Canada with all their money. They’re on the gravy train here in the US, hope it continues up north. A lot of us are voting Trump because we’re NOT on the gravy train, and the media then denigrates us like we’re a lower class of citizen.

Another reasons to support Trump!

Facts:

1) Except in the very odd/exceptional election year of 1964, the Dems haven’t cracked 50% of the whites in a Presidential election since 1932.

2) Once the ‘64 election was over, the Dems understood that they would never win another Presidential election again unless the Republicans REALLY screwed up...or unless they changed the electorate in a dramatic way.

3) The Dems, courtesy of Bobby Kennedy who wrote the law, and Teddy Kennedy who pushed it in the Senate, passed the 1965 Immigration Act. That law dramatically reduced immigration from our then-traditional large sources of immigrants - England, Ireland, Holland, Germany, etc. - and replaced them with vast numbers of Turd Worlders...whom everyone knows vote around 80% for Dems, and will continue to do so for the rest of their lives, as new immigrants have traditionally done.

4) As a result of the ‘65 Act, and due to the Dem’s outright lying in ‘86 regarding an effective (or any) fence, there are now probably 30 - 40 million illegals in this nation. Note that the (probably low-ball) figure in 2005 was 11 million...we have 2-3 million come in every year, so simple math says that the number is actually somewhere between 31 and 41 million). If any substantial portion of these people ever become citizens, then the Dems will have accomplished a complete shift of the electorate, and will be virtually invincible on the national level. Every state will become like California, both politically and economically - which is to say, overwhelming Dem and broke. But at least if you don’t like California now, you can leave for a better place without much trouble - where are you going to go if EVERY state is like that?

5) Every Republican, and every Conservative voter MUST UNDERSTAND that if such a state of affairs comes to be, NO OTHER ISSUE WILL MATTER AT ALL, because we will ALWAYS AND FOREVER lose on those issues. Immigration is THE issue of this election, and this election is as critical as the 1860 election was - and for the same reason, because it will determine whether this nation continues on as it has existed in the past, or becomes a new and unrecognizable entity that simply occupies the same geographic territory.

Please wake up, and help others to do so by sending them this post (or recommending “Adios America” to them). It really is THAT important.

Kinda ironic, that people who think that it’s a human right to enter the US completely unvetted and undocumented, will calmly will wait in line, fill in every form, pay every necessary fee, to immigrate legally to Canada.

I have nothing against Canada.

I noticed some news outlets had that as headlines, as if those lighthearted comments Trump made were as important in Trump’s mind as foreign policy is, for example.

Did he say that? Yes. Was he serious? No. What would anyone expect him to say when confronted with stupidity like that. Express regret?
