I’m in a rural area. But I appreciate the suggestion of a usb digital tuner. I’ll look into it. The thing I’ll miss most about Dish is the DVR.

I get it. Skipping commercials is a quality of life issue to those watching tv.
If you have a friend in a metro area, consider having them record content for you. Many hours can fit on an external or flash drive.
