FWIW I’m paying the same rate for cable channels, broadband, and home phone as I was in 2009.
Whenever I get the yearly bill with a price increase, I just tell them I’m switching to ATT U-Verse. (Now my neighbors that have U-Verse have a lot of technical difficulties due to crummy local infrastructure, but I don’t mention that to the cable co).
Like you, I argue with these folks once a year (phone and satellite tv carrier). They seem to find a reason to bump rates at least $5 per month for whatever reason. So it’s not a fast raise in price...but a slow one.
