The issue of penises in women’s restrooms is a revolting one but it is near rock bottom on the list of 1000 most important issues.

But when liberals force the issue, the answer is just to let them prevail because it barely cracks the top 1000? Liberals in Charlotte enacted a city ordinance that would FORCE businesses, schools, churches, or anyone else to allow people to use whichever restroom they chose to reflect how they identify or face harsh penalties for "discrimination". This ordinance was forced down the throats of residents over the objection of local business leaders, pastors, and others. The state stepped in and passed a law prohibiting local governments from passing this kind of intrusive ordinance and leaving businesses, churches, and other non-government organizations free to set their own policies regarding restrooms, showers, locker rooms, etc. Whether it makes your top 500 list or your top 100 list or your top 10 list of issues, you should be diligent in protecting your freedom from government mandates, be they federal, state, or local.

It’s important in context. It’s important spiritually to maintain a moral environment in which MOST people are comfortable.

As you can see the issue got very little attention and had zero impact on Trump’s performance.

Other than that, it is a state’s rights issue and deserves no participation by the federal government and Trump has said the same.

I agree with what the NC Governor did in signing the law because I know he was dealing with the moral cancer developing in Charlotte.

But Trump’s position is a law was not needed. Indeed, the law before the new law gave no special status to LGBTQ. But Charlotte’s City Ordinance was allowing men to enter women’s restrooms and the Governor felt compelled to stop that.

In the bigger view of federal government, it is not important.

At the local level, yeah it’s important and local people should have a say on how they want their public restrooms to be arranged.
