Great wisdom in this.
It’s good to discuss politics, to learn what is up and down, to complain, change things, live in a singular obsession with some subject...
but remember we all end up like this guy. Take also time out to enjoy...something!

Hey, I'm happy just because they used convention BC (before Christ) instrad of BCE - which I've told people is "Before Christian Era" along with CE - "Christian Era" to pop liberal heads.
Fun post!

Depends on the time of the year, of course. Metaphorically, this pic is supposed to show the end of the day / end of life

Are they sure it's not a mistranslation? I bet it really says "Be Cheerful, beat your wife"!

Actually, I think this is a rare example of Roman police work — instead of chalk, they reproduced the repose of the victim using the tools available, namely, mosaic.

Or maybe bone your wife. You may be right, I concede that islam was a large influence in Turkey much later that the given date of the mosaic. And your latest thought would tend to make a man cheerful 8^{ )

In the last scene, there is a reckless skeleton with a drinking pot in his hand along with bread and a wine pot. The writing on it reads be cheerful and live your life,Or it could mean "stay thirsty, my friend."
