The American south is having another George Wallace moment. Angered by the Supreme Court legalizing same sex marriage and the fact that Bruce Jenner is now a woman, the old segregation states have been falling over each other passing deviously conceived laws in an effort to hold back tide waters that have already rolled in.
But they have been rudely surprised. The pushback against this fever of anti-gay legislation has been staggering. States like Missouri and North Carolina are being slapped down not by effete Hollywood elites but by their heroes: corporate America, Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Buffet and the NBA.
North Carolina governor Pat McRory, who must have thought he had engineered an irresistible wedge issue for the fall election cycle, instead finds himself trying to explain legislation that is costing his state thousands of jobs and untold millions of dollars. By Tuesday, his climbdown reached a new humiliating low when he offered to respect any court action that struck his law down. Consider that for a moment: a conservative Republican effectively begging “activist judges” to strike down a law he enthusiastically signed one month ago.
And let’s be clear here: these laws are anti-gay. They’re dressed up as issues of public safety and basic liberty but they’re simply a mendacious means of trying to beat back the progress of the modern gay movement.

I have always been offended by the use of the word “homophobe” in this argument. I know fine up-righteous people who are not AFRAID if homosexuals at all but oppose their life style as immoral.

Here is the "fact" about Bruce Jenner. He can never BE a woman. Ever! He can dress like a woman, he can have surgery to make himself more "feminine"; although, there really is nothing one can do about that male athlete physique. He can grow his hair long and put on make-up.
And, then he can pretend to be a woman; but, his DNA will never change. He will never change into a woman. He is a man, pretending to be a woman. Period.
As an actual woman, born that way, I am offended by these pretenders to womanhood.
I agree. I am not afraid of homos. I oppose being forced to associate with them.
Something Bruce Jenner never had and never will have.
Gay marriage is this generation’s Selma and Birmingham, just as legalizing marijuana is this generation’s Prohibition. To misquote Scripture, righteousness exalts a nation, but self-righteousness is a reproach to any people.

A man in a dress sexually attracted to women is only a lesbian if you accept his delusion of being a woman.
The irony is that he wants to remove the sexual organs but retains normal heterosexual attractions.
