Semi-autos use the same ammo, just faster. If you’re using a bolt rifle now, you will use more with the AR.
My bolt rifle loves MK 168 and either 4895 for 8208 XBR. One shot per food item. A friend’s DPMS in .308 will consume massive amounts of ammo in a very short period.
My M1A loves the 168’s with either 4895 or 748 ball powder.
Seems like a winning combo in any .308.
