You have got to be kidding me. We're taking about hockey players for Christ Sake. Another player gives Shaw a cheap shot and in the heat of the moment Shaw yells something at that player. So the camera picks up his lips saying, "You fagot".....and that now will get you a one game suspension. Give me a fricking break. The Gay Mafia strikes again.

I haven’t given a **** about hockey since the North Stars left Minnesota, at least. But this is certainly an interesting development.
And btw, Christ has nothing to worry about.

You wonder why they’d do it? I know they don’t want to deal with Gay Mafia demonstrations ruining the playoffs but still, how many queer folk follow the NHL? A dozen?

We’ve bent so far over backwards for the minority groups in this country that we can’t stand up straight. If you aren’t with them, you’re against them. Is that how it is now? No swearing, you might offend someone and that could get you in trouble with the PC police.

What a bunch of pillowbiters.

In the good old days, two players could beat the crap out of each other for a few minutes before the refs got involved. Now, you call someone a “faggot” and the whole world ends. Hockey ain’t hockey anymore.

Absurd. I can only imagine all the cuss words used by hockey players. How many are guilty of exactly the same thing? He should sue, the league doesn’t publish a list of “zero-tolerance words”. If they did, how long would THAT be???
Crazy.

So where is the player’s union in all of this - are they really ok with players being suspended bases on lip reading? What is next, would a player be suspended for calling someone a ‘big, fat, idiot’ because that could be offensive to fatties and the mentally deficient? What a bunch of sissies.

Coach Q ought to bench him for being an idiot. There was no excuse for that behavior, and I don’t mean his language.
