" Target Corp. made it clear Tuesday that transgender people who visit its stores are welcome to use the bathroom that aligns with their gender identity.
The statement by the Minneapolis-based retailer comes amid debates in many state legislatures over restricting public restroom use to the sex listed on a person’s birth certificate.
While many of those conversations have centered around restrooms in public schools and government buildings, Target appears to be one of the first big-box retailers to take a proactive stance in declaring its position on the matter when it comes to its own restrooms.
While they may not be technically public, restrooms in stores are often the most easily accessible and widely available options outside of people’s homes and workplaces.
Target’s position also extends to its fitting rooms.
“Inclusivity is a core belief at Target,” the company said in a statement on its corporate website. “It’s something we celebrate. We stand for equality and equity, and strive to make our guests and team members feel accepted, respected and welcomed in our stores and workplaces every day.”

Target has become way too Liberally Progressive. I worked there briefly and would never go back. I don’t shop there either.
Now at Walmart, where I worked a long time, we always had Family Bathrooms and I will bet you they have a number of people who use those for other reasons than changing diapers.
Don’t think you even need the purse as long as you “identify as a woman” in your mind. Just walk right in and whip it out!

I think the important point lost on those who align with Target’s decision is this: Pedophiles will take advantage of ambiguous bathroom rules. Nothing is stopping some predator from being in a Target bathroom for no other purpose.
I’ve got young kids. The LAST thing I would want to worry about is whether or not my child is safe in the bathroom.
I’ll take it further, if Target is enabling an environment where pedophiles are attracted - my family has NO need to go to ANY of their stores again.

I thought it was just me, I hated it when I went. All the ads made it look so trendy and clean and full of nice things, when I went, it was just seedy and empty. Catering to the kind of clientele which would include men who want to use the bathroom amongst women and girls, surely can’t help.
I have a 5 year old grandson, and I know where he is at all times, when we go to the park, I’m right there, playing beside him, just in case I have to grab him, and my phone is on 911 speed dial and ready...

Target was my store of preference. They need to feel it in their sales. It’s the only way. No more target for me.
The reason corporations cave to this deviant drivel is because they're cowards who are terrified that their public image will be tarred with the label of "intolerant." I suggest that we tar them instead with the label "perverts" and "enablers." Let's see how embarrassing they find THAT.

One major problem with this policy is absolutely no justification must be provided for using whatever room you want. No dress, no purse, no explanation beyond “none of your business why I’m going in here.”
This makes the old joke perfectly applicable: “i’m a lesbian trapped in a man’s body”.
I will fix it for Target. Women should just stand outside and piss on their floor declaring they no longer feel safe in Target restrooms.
I know, it’s really inescapable, with these chains. But the ones who make a lot of noise about it, well, they want the attention, they got mine, negatively.
Target has a family private restroom...why couldn’t that serve the trannys, shy guys, families, etc...
