I'm going to get kicked off FR for saying this, but literally every professional interaction I have had with a non-citizen Indian has been unpleasant due to their complete disregard of hygiene and sloth in all things. And if I ask you for a deliverable by a certain date, don't say "Yes" if you really mean "No" or "I don't know."

It's not a racial thing. Native born Americans of Indian descent are terrific.

Considering his name (Mahbub Chowdhury, of Sanskrit origin) and his specialty (curry) I'd bet he's a Bengali Hindu, not a Muslim.

Although there are a minority of Chowdhuris who are Muslim, as well as Buddhist and Christian.

No, it’s a cultural thing-

There was a related article here awhile back that stated refugees, even though given their own bathrooms, would not use the toilet and squat and do their business o n the floor of the bathrooms (and out in the streets) instead, and not use toilet paper because it was a ‘cultural thing’- it’s just stunning that they apparently don’t mind smelling like feces all the time- their wives must really love doing the family laundry-
