TRUMP Teaches Us One Thing
https://www.facebook.com/DonaldTrump ^

Posted on 04/12/2016 7:36:22 PM PDT by djstex

Check this out on what I found on Trump's page by a poster, and this not me posting it but certainly resonates with many that do not see Trump as we have all along. You may not like or want a Trump president. Yet one thing Trumps campaign is teaching us, the rules and system is so rigged even being a billionaire is not enough. So how could a real common everyday worker or farmer run for office today? It also shows all the other candidates are all such insiders of the system, they know the game well.

So this post is not about whom to support, it is about an outrage all of us should have over the methods. When the rules can be manipulated and voters ignored, and even someone put in the office voters didn't even vote for, we have huge issue. For if the primary delegates may he bought off by gifts, which is legal, then even the electoral college may also be manipulated. This makes us no better than countries ran by dictators. One might even argue we are ran by a legal one. This was not the intention of those which died to give us Liberty.

When you don’t get to vote, who the hell is representing you?

The politicians don’t care. As long as they get theirs they couldn’t care less about the voters.

The rules are being followed.

I cheer for Trump.
I cheer for Cruz.

When either adversarially attacks the other, they are both hurt.

Usually, the same person who is representing you when you do get to vote. Some political hack insider who is feathering his nest at your expense.

Sad. If Trump doesn’t win, then we can all stop teaching our kids that “anyone can grow up to be president”.

Good observation.

What happened in Colorado is right out of the Hugo Chavez Handbook.

FWIW neither of them attack each other with the vitriol that Freepers attack each other.

If nothing else, this one VERY LARGE fact is what is killing our Republic and should put Trump WAY out in front. Another GOPe puke will lose (deja vu McLame and Romney) to another Obama....and squelch this nation.

Maybe, in this case, but not always. Sometimes one is clearly "better" than the other, and gains as a result of battle. At any rate, they are adversaries in an election contest, so it is inevitable they will attack each other. The alternative is not have an adversarial selection process, or hide the process out of public view.

Trump could have spent some money, actually hired the best people and competed in CO. Instead his campaign manager don’t remember which one said “anything we get in CO is a bonus”. That is no way to run a campaign, how can you run a country if you can’t run a campaign which is way more complicated. He is taking cheap shots to rile up his base with his whining about cheating and stealing trying to cover his obvious incompetence, and it only works with his base.

I heard Paul Ryan even say today, he isn’t running, he wants no part of this campaign...but then again he is meeting with certain people that don’t like Trump, so I wonder how much trust you can put into what he said....

Paul Ryan is every bit as truthful as Ted Cruz or Obama.

The alternative is not have an adversarial selection process, or hide the process out of public view.

Another alternative would be to have the candidates present their credentials and experience in order to demonstrate to the voters which one is most qualified to be president. In my perfect world, the candidates are job applicants and the voters are the employers who carefully check work experience against job requirements, and vote on the most qualified candidate. The process needs be no more adversarial than hiring someone out of a pool of applicants.

He might be telling the truth here. Even a member of the establishment should be able to see that taking out the people's choice in order to install the establishment's choice is going to hurt the Republican party in the long run. As it is, the Republican party has taken a lot of damage through its machinations to deny the people their choice. In this day of instant news, it is hard to keep sleazy tactics out of the public eye.

Everything I learned about politics is from my own run of the mill town. Take a trip to your town council or zoning board. You will discover they usually meet with no one in attendance. They are busy passing stuff for their contributors, if not for themselves. They and their spouses get appointments in all the neighboring towns as prosecutors, public defenders, engineers, etc. All the professionals they hire with your money are their contributors and cronies.

and when you ask a logical question or make a simple suggestion, you are the biggest fool in the world. Don’t you know they have studied all this and your ideas aren’t even on their well thought out lists.

Then go back with about 200 of your neighbors. First they will cancel the meeting or throw you out because the room is too small.

But keep it up and yell a little and half of them will jump ship and start supporting you.

There endeth the lesson. It is all about money. Theirs.
