I would say that this future looks a lot more like “Idiocracy”, the flawed, but hilarious 2006 movie, than it looks like the book 1984. But I do agree that this has been brewing for a LONG time. Obama is merely a manifestation of the decay, not the cause of it. He did get elected fair and square. Twice.

Because for the first time in American history the users and takers outnumber the producers and makers.

It isn’t just the foreign imports that want free stuff; the ghetto folk were shown that if they would just breed bastards for Mammon they would have a life of leisure - and that mindset has now spread to suburban and rural America.

I agree. Like our founding fathers said, you gotta have an informed electorate. Based on what I see, you have this large group of people (I bet 80%) who really just live out their lives. They don’t look at big picture nor consider the bigger matters. They just live day to day. I feel those people are susceptible to sound bytes and adopting other people’s opinions without much introspection. Sadly they are the 80% that get dragged into everything by the “self actualized” or “self-promoters”...whether good or bad. They don’t stand up for or against anyone. I think that is how so many people ended up dead in WWII or throughout history. I think that is why Jesus called us sheep.

After WWII this nation went down the road of lies and dishonesty. We are now a nation defined by baby killing, Sodomy and Political Correctness. Take heart, if nothing makes sense to you its a GOOD thing.

Most of the younger generation 18-30, just want to fish, drink, or hang out.

Not into fishing here, but partying. Same problem in Texas. It's REALLY bad. Someone has got to take control and start the populace down a more productive path. I have a solution for all of this, and, it's not real pretty but, it will work.

Talk to the voters and NO one likes him and No one voted for him...so he must have certainly fixed those two elections or rather the DNC and his handlers did...

The exact truth.

He does NOT have that approval rating. Evil, and I mean evil, manipulators behind the scenes are putting out false stories about nonexistent people approving of this man.

Get rid of the welfare net and the freebies and these people will either work or starve. That’s the way it was for me...and it worked out fine.

Low information voters. The last couple of generations are products of government run education/indoctrination. They are the children and grandchildren of stupid liberal leftover hippies.

Santa Claus beats reality in the hearts and emotions of people every time.

Commie Utopias promise everyone a participation trophy and no consequences for sin.

Conservatism requires brain exercise and moral behavior - both of which are a struggle.

BS. Small business want hard working industrious people to work for minimum wage. They set a ridiculously low price for an hour of labor while complaining everyone is a loser because they won't play their silly game. I'll bet small business would get more employees at $10.00'hr but they may have to forgo the new boat another year.

This is why small businesses have a bad reputations. Sal the borders go Trump!

Parents kept sending their children to public schools. Might as well have sent them to a public bath house for cleanliness...and made the kids drink it too.

Wrong again. The place a work for does not start people at minimum wage. Many simply do not want to work. Raises are available, but many are let go due to laziness and/or stealing money. Constantly. Preach on...

The Bible will ALWAYS be found to be true. Always.

Proverbs 12:24 The hand of the diligent will rule, But the slack hand will be put to forced labor.

Wrong again.

BS. If the wages being offered are not attracting the quality people he wants then he has two choice raise wages or go out of business. He could be incompetent an blaming others for his lack of business skills.

Ironically, but Trump and Sanders are winning because they are saying things that the Republican and Democrat establishment don’t even want *said*, much less to happen.

Admittedly, the vast majority of what Sanders is promoting is utter hogwash fantasy that could never work. However, in that spoiled oyster, he includes a very intelligent pearl:

“Break up the giant banks.”

The philosophy behind this is clear and easy to understand across the political spectrum. “Companies that are ‘too big to fail’ are ‘too big to be allowed to threaten our economy’.” They need to be broken up.

And it’s not just the big banks that need to be broken up.

The oligopoly media companies. 90% of U.S. media outlets are owned by six corporations: Walt Disney, Time Warner, CBS Corporation, Viacom, NBC Universal and Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation.

“Big Pharma” is both an oligopoly and an obnoxious one. After a boom time run of 200% profits, they decided that this should be the norm in their industry.

Microsoft and Apple are a duopoly.

Obamacare has created an oligopoly of health insurance companies: Humana, Cigna, Aetna and WellPoint. When Obamacare is ended, these will need major reorganizations to return to a semblance of order.

Ford, GMC and Chrysler in the auto industry.

The cell phone service providers that dominate the industry are Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile.

The music entertainment industry is dominated by Universal Music Group, Sony, BMG, Warner and EMI Group.

The credit card industry is strangely fragile, but could severely imperil our economy, and quickly. This needs to be addressed.

And then, the big banks. But more, the giant investment houses, need to be systematically subdivided into competing companies until they can be “allowed to fail” in the marketplace, without causing chaos.

In any event, back to Sanders. The typical Americans understands the threats to our economy and wants them addressed. And banks are at the forefront of this problem.

Which goes a long way to explain his popularity, even if the rest of his agenda is spoiled cabbage.
