It is both mothers AND FATHERS who choose childcare for their children.
I agree these discussions frequently discount people who make the decision to raise their own kids ... but they only almost always consider the mother alone is making these decisions.
Yes, and some fathers should decide to get 2 or 3 jobs and/or somehow increase their income to financially support their families so the wife can be at home as necessary.
It shouldn’t be on tax payers to pay daycare as it may just be a luxury for their household lifestyle.
Although there may be some circumstances where the wife can make much more income, and I’m not going to point out fathers who are just plain lazy but some just are (though I’m sure that could apply either way).
