It’s not related to Trump so much as it is to the more fanatic trump supporters.
They are interesting specimens, in a sick way.
They seem to have invested their entire beings, heart and soul, into an odd rich dude.
The symptoms are scary. Any hint of criticism against their idol results in frenzies of posts ... total frenzies.
If one is caught in the crossfire, it can hurt, because they will stop at nothing to abuse anyone who dares to insult the Chosen One.
We’ve never had anything like this on our side of the aisle.
Even the love of Obama didn’t seem to run this deep or this delusional.

That is exactly how I see Cruz supporters.
It is like a cult. Very strange. And it is the cult which is winning in very underhanded ways, in “polls” which are actually just a bunch of partisan weenies, who get together in some place to announce their own selection.
Never mind what people think. It is just about what party leaders want.
Trump is winning big, in actual polls. Big.
Your guy is just manufacturing wins in party events. He is good at it, no question. But it is just the party.
Cruz is becoming a complete sell-out.
And the people promoting him on this site, are now opposing the winning candidate, and all of the millions more Trump supporters than their own guy.
It is becoming ridiculous. Cruz is selling out to everyone, just to fight Trump.
Yet people, very strongly want Trump. The party is the problem.
The party. Which incidentally, now is 100% lined up with Cruz.
Not a good sign, at all.
This same man lied about not knowing he was a Canadian until a couple years ago. This man friends in high school that he feared his Canadian citizenship might prevent him from running for president someday.
