Yes I have the same problem. I switched to OPENDNS and it works fine.

Okay. I googled OPENDNS—now what? How do I get to free republic? My phone cam access the site but my laptop can’t.
The problem seems to be in Florida, Texas and Kalifornia. At least from all I’m seeing. Verizon changed to Frontier on April 1st. Bad April Fools joke!
