Most haven’t ever been asked to consider the question
If abortion becomes illegal, then what happens to women who have them? Does the govt prosecute?
The biggest concern is education. Planned Parenthood right now has free reign when it comes to educating for future clients. They should not be allowed to train young children about sex. On the contrary, pro-life education includes the remedy for countering the abortion-mentality and it also lines up with JPII's culture of life.
Back in the 1980s I stumbled across a study done by the Guttmacher Institute in which they asked women if they would still have an abortion if it were not legal. They found out that 90% of the women questioned said that they would not get an abortion if it were not legal. That means that only 10% would go into an illegal abortion clinic. What this really means is that 90% of the women have to be talked into having an abortion. So, statistically speaking the number of women who would search out an abortion is 10%.
With that being said having laws in place that prosecute health providers for performing abortions is very important. And the penalties must be stiff.
The most important thing though is to get to a point where life at all stages is honored by all the people. That is a very worthy goal.
