A British holidaymaker has been rescued from the Atlantic after apparently trying to swim to her cruise liner when it left port without her.
Susan Brown, 65, was pulled from the ice-cold waters in the early hours of Sunday with severe hypothermia after more than four hours swimming a third of a mile out to sea in the hope of making it to her ship, the Marco Polo.

um... what exactly was her plan if she had made it to the boat? was she going to climb the side of it like a spider?
she would have been an ant compared to an elephant, and would have probably gotten sucked into the engines.

It would have been cool if she had caught it.

Not that I'm an expert, but I think one dies from "severe hypothermia" in a matter of minutes - not hours.

Jack LaLanne would have caught it and towed it back to shore.

Chuck Norris would have drug the pier to the boat.

Not that I'm an expert, but I think one dies from "severe hypothermia" in a matter of minutes - not hours.I think that depends on the temp of the water.

I wonder if she noticed her husband spending a little too much time with a female bartender the night before.
To: Ray76
Poor woman, she panicked in unfamiliar circumstances and made a very foolish choice, and she nearly paid for it with her life. Nothin’ funny about this situation, IMHO.
