Before it was #CruzSexScandal, reporters who knew about it were calling it #TheThing on Twitter. There has been a lot of scrubbing going on on Twitter (deleting tweets), but I can find reference to #TheThing as far back as March 14, 2016. It says Rubio people were shopping #TheThing, but since they knew he was out or almost out, they stopped pushing it:

The photo also matches the dress she wore for CNN's coverage on Super Tuesday (March 1). There's no way those "condoms" were used on Ted Cruz, who was down in Texas that night. He went to Kansas, not DC the next day.

My guess is that if you are working late enough, either CNN will put you in a hotel or you get one and spend the night as opposed to going home whenever the panel breaks for the night.

I’m 100% all in for Trump, and I’m really beyond sick of Cruz at this point, but I hope this madness about Carpenter having a kid with Lyin Ted is untrue... Her daughter does have a Cruz-ish look to her. Not without precedent, let’s just say.
