Shingles vaccine is not an antiviral but acyclovir, valacyclovir, and famciclovir are.
I’m sorry that you got the impression I was talking about the vaccine which would be a little late after the outbreak occurs. I had it when I was 24, most expensive prescription I’ve ever had, and probably the worst pain in my life.
For the cost of the shingles vaccine I thought it was life-time. But I thought I heard somewhere it needed to be done every year? Any comments?
I’m 55 but have met folks my age that had it. Doesn’t sound like fun.
