it takes a little longer, but a replacement battery with the tools to do it is all of $13.99 on Amazon. . . and it's not hard. I've done it for family members and clients. If you have the tools, the battery is $7.75.
But, as I said, the battery will easily outlive your use of the iPhone. . . and then some.

That's an irrelevancy, as is Google's search; once there are sufficient articles addressing a problem, there will be no more articles, because there only so many places to publish articles. The fact is that you tied into concatenated articles on "iPhone", plus "battery" plus "problems" which duly reported every instance of those search terms, not every instance of those search terms together.
Had you limited your search inside quotation marks like this: "iPhone battery problems", you would have gotten only 13,900 hits. Had I done the same thing using "Android" in place of "iPhone," the same search returns 15,100 hits. . . but I know how to use Google to limit searches to exactly what I want to find, not a search for every word in a search, no matter where it appears in the string, or body of the results. For example, replacing either "Android" or "iPhone" with "Windows" in that constrained search returns only NINE hits, but remove the quotation marks from around the constrained search returns 49,900,000 hits. . . of which only NINE are Windows which happen to have battery problems. Do you get it now?
Android phone battery life spans have been an historic problem that was well known due to the problems with Android not being well optimized for battery use the way iOS has always been. The reason Android got large screens was not because there was demand for larger screens but rather so that the Android phone makers could stuff larger batteries inside their cases without making their phones too thick to increase their talk and standby times. Check it out, you'll find it's true.
Then why are you trying to tell people who DO USE IT, things that are patently untrue using hearsay evidence from people who obviously do not know what they are doing? Your information is flawed. . . drastically so.
Frankly, his figures are correct. The Motley Fool did not just use Schiller's data to publish this. Are you familiar with the Sarbanes Oxley Law of 2002? It requires officers of publicly traded companies to tell the truth. If they don't they can be personally fined up to $20 million and imprisoned for up to 20 years. Phil Schiller was talking officially in Apple's name and what he said would come under SOX. His statistics are correct. Your numbers are incorrect. What you are talking about are quarterly sales numbers, his numbers are INSTALLED BASE. Two different numbers. Apple Macs have a longer usable life than the vast majority of other PCs. . . it's why they have a much higher resale value than Windows PCs of the same age.

Market share does not always reflect quality or technological superiority.
Of course, the reality is - Apple and MS took a somewhat different business plan on the early side - coupled with some interesting decisions and some fortuitous events, MS got the jump on Apple by pursuing the hard-core business side, which ultimately led to many other big advances market-wise.
And in the tech industry, what people know/use is a hard obstacle to overcome - but Apple HAS gained market share.
And of course - what do the market share numbers look like for smartphones?
There was a day when security-through-obscurity might have had a touch of validity, but not so much today. Apple's security is in large-part, found in several layers of defense built-in. From the unix core, to the gatekeeper functionality. Also, the relatively "closed" system that comes from a single manufacturer with a single set of specifications for all OEM components - the OS is far more streamlined and has less variables to struggle with. The list goes on.

Yep - I typically replace laptops (MacBook Pro) about half as often as most Windows PC Laptop owners I know. The only exception to this are those who are relatively light computer users who's demands are relatively light, who actually keep up with their maintenance and anti-malware, and who actually generally take care of their stuff (not so often with stuff that is relatively cheap).
My current MacBook Pro is actually a few years old, yet compares VERY favorable with the newest stuff coming out (but I still have an optical drive!). My previous MBP lasted me almost 5 years, and I just sold it for what the average Windows laptop )new) price! So I figure I will get several years on this one for less than the cost of a low-end Windows laptop by buying used, upgrading the ram, and taking care of it.

As for Arthur Anderson and Enron, that scandal was the precipitating event that initiated the passage of the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002. I didn't think you were at all familiar with the state of the law controlling the statements of officials like Phil Schiller. Proved my point quite well.
And where would your articles on the Android problems be printed? And why would Google prioritize a search about such issues about THEIR product?
There really isn't much problem with iPhone batteries. You start searching out the articles and you'll find that many of the articles are identical, because the iPhone articles mention ANDROID battery problems which iPhones do not experience. That is why the articles get a hit. LOL!

True, but conflating a user error into a general statement of a failing of the entire operation of the system is also error. A little search would have found them the answers they needed. . . or if they had simply followed instructions when setting up their various Apple devices and input their AppleID in each device, they'd find when they logged on that each one had the same content available as every other one. Purchase a movie on one, it would be available on all, so long as the AppleID is identical. Or, invite family members with different AppleIDs to share with a single controlling AppleID. Simple.
